Ted Flemmer, 90, of Mandan, ND passed away this past week in his longtime home in Mandan.
A private committal service will be held at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Theophil “Ted” was born August 4, 1933 in Beulah, ND to John & Rosella (Voegele) Flemmer. He attended country school and later graduated from Beulah High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ted married Bridget Sullivan on March 16, 1957 in Mandan. They made their home in Mandan where he worked many years as a Senior Operator for the M.D.U. owned Heskett Power Station. In retirement, Ted loved to play bingo and work the slot machines.
He is survived by his daughter, Myra (Duane Mischel) Flemmer of Fargo; 4 grandsons, Steven (Aamna) Flemmer, Brandon Schmidt, Ryan Flemmer, & Evan (Maureen) Flemmer; and 3 great grandchildren, Finnick, Lyrick, & Thalia.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, his wife (Bridget), 2 sisters, & 1 brother.
