Sally Perry (Schultz), 64, passed away at CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck on April 13th, 2024.

Sally was born on December 23rd, 1959 in Fargo, ND. She was adopted by the Schultz family at a young age. Her mother was a nurse and her father was a craftsman and her family moved to Bismarck when she was young. She attended school at Bismarck High School. In 1976, she met her soulmate and the love of her life, Scott Perry, and they were married shortly after that. They spent their early years of marriage traveling throughout the US while painting for their own business, S&S Painting, where they focused primarily on spray painting farmhouses & barns. In March 1985, they welcomed their only child, a son, Casey. Scott and Sally continued to travel throughout the early years of Casey’s life but always called Bismarck their home.

Sally lived a vibrant life, full of love for her family and her passions. Sally was a devoted animal lover all of her life and had many precious companions over the years including two German shepherds, Smokey and Rosie, and African Grey, and Cockatoo parrots that she raised for some time, one of her favorites was Buster. At the time of her death, she had a tuxedo cat named Buddy that she loved dearly.

For the second half of her life, she was employed at Sanford Health as a Medical Transcriptionist and was proud of her work.

In 2017, Sally became a grandmother and was overjoyed to spend time with her granddaughter. Sally welcomed helping with her child care for the first few years of her life. Her dedication to her family, including her son, Casey, and granddaughter Reese, shines through in the way she cherished them.

Sally had a knack for fixing things and was incredibly resourceful and creative. Sally loved music, in particular, George Straight. She enjoyed playing the piano, and even taught her son, Casey, how to play piano as a child. She found joy in simple pleasures and was a passionate gardener with a green thumb. She had a beautiful garden and flowers and she loved having her granddaughter come over to help pick the fruits and vegetables and help her water every chance she got. Sally was also a fantastic cook. She gained her love and knowledge of cooking throughout her travels in life and was exceptional at making Mexican food. She also made great pickles and salsa with all the fresh vegetables from her garden.

Sally left behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but her spirit lives on through the love she shared with those she held dear.

Sally is survived by her husband of 48 years, Scott Perry, Bismarck, son, Casey (Megan) Perry, Bismarck, and her precious granddaughter, Reese Perry, Bismarck.

Sally is preceded in death by her mother, Lenora Schultz, and her father Owen Schultz.
