Ruby Williams, 76, Mandan, died June 8, 2012 at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 11, 2012 at Mandan United Methodist Church with Reverend Steve C. Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Ruby was born May 17, 1936 near Pekin, ND, the daughter of Sidney and Mildred (Ensrude) Hoiberg. She graduated from Pekin High School. On May 31, 1955 she married Jerry Williams at her family home. Ruby and Jerry lived in many different places in ND, settling in Mandan after retirement.
Ruby enjoyed giving gifts to everyone, getting together with relatives, and having coffee with her friends. She also loved to wear hats. Ruby deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Sherry Jean (Wayne) Harkins of Hiram, Georgia; her sons, Virgil Sidney Williams of Mandan and Kelvin Mark (Kelly) Williams of Bismarck; five grandchildren, Jonathan Mark (Stephanie) Williams, Jordan Michael Williams, Jennifer Katlin Erhardt, Carolyn Marie Erhardt, and Katherine Rose Erhardt; two brothers, Sherman Jean (Donna) Hoiberg, Fargo and Larry Duane (Ellen) Hoiberg, Grand Forks; two sisters, Idell Renae (Vernon) Hovdenes, Tolna, ND and Linda Louise Hoiberg, Gig Harbor, WA.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband on November 2, 2010; an infant son and daughter; and her parents.
