Ruby Morrell

Ruby Morrell, 83, Mandan, passed away September 26, 2019 at CHI St. Alexius, Bismarck.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, with Fr. Fred Harvey celebrating.  Burial will be on Wednesday, October 2 at 9:00 am at Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home in Mandan with a Rosary and Vigil at 7:00 pm.

Ruby was born to Peter and Mathilda (Beehler) Haag on November 22, 1935.  She was raised and educated in Mandan.  She worked as a nurse’s aide and in home health for over 30 years.  Ruby was passionate about her family, cooking, baking and cards of any kind.  She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren.

Blessed to have shared in her life are her daughters, Susan (Jerry) Frey, Shelly (Mark) Ciavarella, Stephanie Schaner, and Sheila Braun; son, Rodney (Fran) Morrell; brother, Robert (Renee) Haag; sister, Janice Poole; sister-in-law, LaVerne Haag; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond, Art, and Ronald Haag; and sisters, Julianna Haag and Betty Deichert.
