Ruby M. Huber, age 83, Mandan, died August 29, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Care Center in Bismarck.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Mandan, with Rev. Ryan Wolfe officiating. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, September 5 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Ruby was born on December 25, 1933 in Arena, ND, the daughter of Fred and Katherine (Burgermister) Pleinis. She was raised and educated in Wing, ND. On June 12, 1953 Ruby married Elmer Huber in Wing. She worked for St. Alexius, Mandan Hospital, and the Mandan Care Center.
Ruby valued playing cards, especially pinochle and she enjoyed all different kinds of games. She enjoyed a lot of crafts, such as making cards and sewing, liked playing organ for the church, and also loved spending time with her many friends, family, and grandkids.
Ruby is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Claudia and Dwight Kruckenberg, Ashland, MO and Nancy and Kaylor Baker, Bismarck; and her son, James Huber, Bismarck; 5 grandchildren, Curtis and Michael Kruckenberg, Tyler Schmidt, Tevin Baker, and Morgan Huber; three great grandchildren, Mason, Braxton, and Ruger Kruckenberg; and one sister, Christine Bieth, Sparks, NV.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Elmer; eight brothers; and four sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Bismarck Cancer Center.
