Ronald Capelle, 69, Mandan, died August 23, 2015 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan. Burial will be at Fort Rice Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan and continue one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Ronald was born July 26, 1946 in Miller, SD to Elwood and Ruth (Nicholas) Capelle. He was raised and educated in Mobridge, SD where he graduated from high school and went on to college. In November 1972 he married Arlene Schoonover-Bruggeman in McIntosh, SD. Ron took correspondence classes and found a love for radio announcing. He started working at KBOM in Bismarck, then KBMR, and later to KOLY in Mobridge. His radio name was “Ron Mack”. His family returned to Mandan where he always kept busy doing something. Ron had a love for history and architecture. He enjoyed old time country music. His greatest love was for his family and he loved quality time with his granddaughter and great grandchildren.
Blessed to have shared his life is his wife, Arlene Capelle, Mandan; granddaughter, Dawn Tipton, Bismarck; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Chloe, and Kylee Tipton; his mother, Ruth Capelle, Phoenix, AZ; and two sisters and one brother, Carol (Winston) Chamberlain, Sharon Lynch, and Robert Capelle, all of Phoenix, AZ.
Ron was preceded in death by his father.
