Bob was born June 16, 1933 in Biwabik, MN to John and Viola (Fondie) Licari. He graduated from Biwabik High School in 1951. In December 1958 Bob was hurt in an industrial accident, losing his right arm and several fingers. The accident did not stop him from doing what he loved and enjoying life. He was honored as ND Handicapped Citizen of the year twice. Bob earned a Specialist Degree in Special Education Administration.
On May 31, 1963 he married Barbara Sausman in Biwabik, MN. Moving to ND in 1973, Bob took a job as Special Ed Director for Morton-Sioux County, a job he excelled at, retiring in 1995. After Barb’s retirement in 1999 they became snowbirds to Lake Havasu City, AZ where Bob did a lot of fishing and enjoyed the grandkids who lived nearby. Bob also loved to hunt deer and antelope in MT and ND with his buddy, Ron Biberdorf. Living on the Missouri River gave Bob ready access to fish all he wanted during the summer. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren, following all of their activities whenever he could. Bob will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
