Ramon Jensen

Ramon “Ray” Jensen, 90, Mandan, died October 12, 2019 at Sunset Drive a Prospera Community, Mandan.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.  Visitation will be held on hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery with full military honors.

Ramon was born September 14, 1929 in Hawarden, IA to Kenneth and Ann (Bellock) Jensen.  His family moved to Glendive, MT where he graduated from Dawson High School and Dawson Community College.  After college Ray enlisted in the US Navy.  He was honorably discharged in 1954.  Ray returned to Glendive and on August 10, 1955 he married Leota Bremer.  They resided in Glendive where Ray worked for the railroad and MDU.  Ray was transferred to Mandan where he worked at the Heskett Plant until his retirement.  Ray and Leota enjoyed traveling, camping, socializing with friends and liked antiques and agate and rock hunting.  They loved spending time on their river front lot with their camper where they had many parties.  Ray was proud of his grandchildren and their achievements.  He had such great joy when he held his great grandbabies.

Grateful to have shared in his life is his son, Mike (Cherie) Jensen; grandchildren, Richard (Emily) Jensen and Nicole (Charles) Luther; great grandchildren, Raymon, Kathryn, Jackson, and Thomas.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Leota, in 2012; his parents; and brother-in-law, Richard Lillie.
