Philip L. Dahl, 69, Mandan, died March 12, 2015 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12 noon on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with Reverend Chris Kadrmas celebrating. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Phil was born in Cando, ND on October 19, 1945 to Arne and Helena (Krich) Dahl. He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1967 and from Capital Community College with a business degree in 1970. On April 16, 1982 he married Rose (Mitchell) Raywalt in Sturgis, SD. Phil always enjoyed softball, bowling at Ten Spot Lanes, playing cards, and watching Jeopardy. He liked visiting with his friends at the coffee groups and loved to walk most everywhere he went, and always looked forward to soup kitchen day at church.
Blessed to have shared his life are his nieces and nephews, Cherrie (Lyle) Mayer, Kathy (Doran) Huus, Jerry (Patty) Mitchell, Dennis (Amanda) Mitchell, and Bobbi (Jeremy) LaFramboise; great nieces and nephews, including a special great niece, Larrisa Wald; and two sisters-in-law, Goldie Bargmann, Mandan and Carol Voigt, Graham, WA.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; his wife, Rose, in 1999; and his friend and brother-in-law, Robert “Shakey” Mitchell.
