Paulette Bentz, 71, Mandan, passed away August 14, 2019 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center after a lengthy battle with cancer.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with Rev. Gene Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with a prayer service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Paulette was born August 6, 1948 in Bismarck to Arthur and Helen (Dachtler) Heyne. She attended Mandan Public Schools, graduating in 1966. On June 20, 1970 she married Donald Bentz at First Lutheran Church in Mandan. Donald passed away on December 18, 2013. Paulette worked for NISC in Mandan for 38 years until her retirement. Paulette enjoyed gardening, collecting Coke memorabilia, crocheting lap blankets for nursing homes, taking long walks, and putting puzzles together with her sisters. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends, whether it was camping, holidays, picnics, or barbeques.
Blessed to have shared in her life are her two sons, Michael (Lana) Bentz and David (Katie) Bentz; two grandchildren, Kaylee and Bradyn Bentz; sisters, Ardella (LeRoy) Weiand, Delores Assel, June Evinger, and Myrna Ott; brothers, Arlen (Margurite) Heyne and Frank (Lillian) Rennich; in-laws, Harold Bentz, Arnold (Carole) Bentz, Frieda Roth, Arlene Dietz, Delores Tacke, Kathleen Lanz, and Betty Rennich; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Paulette was preceded in death by her husband; parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Bertha Bentz; brothers, Ray, LeRoy, George, and Kenneth; in-laws, Ray Assel, Edward and Gerald Bentz, Vernon Roth, and Vernon Dietz; and niece, Paula Rath.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society.
