Natashia Rae Colhoff, 32, Mandan, died peacefully on May 25, 2016 at the Sanford Health Continuing Care Center surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church, Mandan, with Monsignor Chad Gion officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Natashia was born April 7, 1984 in Rapid City, SD to James and Teresa (DeCoteau) Colhoff. She grew up in Williston and Bismarck, graduating from Bismarck High School in 2002. She met and became engaged to Andy Raab in 2006. For 5 years Natashia worked at HIT, Inc. She loved every second of her job working with people with disabilities. Some of her favorite activities were taking the clients on out of town trips such as Medora and shopping at her favorite store, Walmart.
Natashia was like any other young woman in life. She loved to go shopping and get her nails, eyebrows, and hair done. She spent hours doing the makeup and hair of her sister and cousins. She loved to go camping, listen to music, and attend family gatherings. Her favorite holidays were the 4th of July and Christmas. Most of all, the most important thing to her was spending time with her family. She loved to do things to make them smile and laugh. Natashia had the best smile and laugh. When she smiled you couldn’t help but smile too. When she laughed, you laughed too even if you had no idea what she was laughing about, because it was infectious.
The family would like to thank Sanford Health Continuing Care Center and their staff for the excellent care that was given to Natashia over the years that she lived there. They loved and cared for her like family and that kindness will always be remembered.
Blessed to have shared her life is her mother, Teresa, Mandan; brothers, Coty (Danetta), Mandan and Frankie (Sloane), Bismarck; sister, Christian (Adam), Bismarck; Godchild, Treyton Kraft, Mandan; grandmother, Millie, Mandan; 9 nieces and nephews; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins who will all miss her dearly.
Natashia was preceded in death by her father, James; grandmother, Sophie Morgan; grandfather, Vernon DeCoteau; cousins, Ashley DeCoteau, Cory Russell, and Shakira LaValle; and Godfather, Richard Belgarde.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the family are preferred.
