Mary Dockter, 89, Mandan, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018, at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 4, 2018, at First Lutheran Church in Mandan with Rev. Christina Martin presiding. Burial will follow in the Langedahl Cemetery, rural Tuttle, ND. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Buehler Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Mary was born October 13, 1928, the daughter of Jacob and Christina Boschee. She was cared for by the Gust and Elma Krein family before marrying Benjamin Dockter on May 31, 1946, in Tuttle, ND. They farmed in the Tuttle area before moving to Mandan in 1955.
Mary worked for Cloverdale foods and the Seven Seas. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Mandan and enjoyed going to the soup kitchen at Spirit of Life Church. She so dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her two twin great-great grandsons. She was so proud to be the 5th generation!
Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda Betlaf of Mandan; grandchildren, Darin Thomas and Tammy Thomas Wolt, both of Mandan; great grandchildren, Maranda (Jesse), Nicholas, and Austin Wolt, all of Mandan; twin great-great grandsons, Riley and Ranon DeCoteau; and numerous cousins nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin; parents; son, Roger; along with four brothers and three sisters.
