Mark Campbell, 65, Mandan, died unexpectedly on January 3, 2019, at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 11, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with Fr. Shane Campbell celebrating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Mark was born May 9, 1953 in Breckenridge, MN to Stephen W. and Marilyn (Fleischauer) Campbell. He was raised and educated in Fairmount, ND. Mark attended Joseph’s School of Hair Design in Bismarck. He married Susan Faye Schaan in Minot, and they had two sons together, Stephen J. and William “Billy”. They made their home in Surrey, ND. Mark drove truck for Keebler for 35 years, mostly in ND, MT, and SD. On August 3, 1990 Mark married Shirley Berland at VanHook. They lived at VanHook in the summers and Mandan during the winter. Mark loved spending time with his sons and grandkids. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. A good conversation, giving grief to his friends and family, and just BS’ing was something Mark enjoyed. Time spent at the lake with his wife Shirley was truly one of Mark’s greatest pleasures. A loving husband, dad, and grandpa, Mark will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Blessed to have shared his life is his wife of 28 years, Shirley Campbell, Mandan; his father, Stephen W. Campbell, Fairmount; two sons, Stephen (Cheryl) Campbell, Fairmount, ND and Billy (Brittney) Campbell, VanHook; five grandchildren, Gabriel, Liberty, Liam, Enslee and Elcee; two brothers, Jeff (Mary Lue) Campbell, Fargo and Tim (Kelli) Campbell, Fairmount.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn.
