Marion Kramer, 82, New Salem, died March 7, 2013 at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, with Reverend Gaylen Lennick officiating. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery, south of Mandan at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 11, 2013.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 pm on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
Marion was born April 28, 1930 in West Frankfort, IL to Oscar and Opal (Burton) McClellan. On May 17, 1947 she married Riley Everett LeMay in IL. Through this marriage they were blessed with three daughters and three sons. Following Riley’s death on July 12, 1967, Marion embarked on a new journey with her children and moved to North Dakota in search of a husband. She settled in New Salem and found her bachelor, Chester Kramer. On March 5, 1973 Marion and Chester were joined in marriage. Together they farmed and enjoyed life. Through the years Marion enjoyed being a homemaker, raising her children to be strong through all the ups and downs, and to take life by the horns. When relaxing she enjoyed reading and singing, her favorite song, "You Are My Sunshine."
Blessed to have shared her life are her children, Sandra (Donald) Snoddy of Stonefort, IL., Sherry (Keith) Keator, Bismarck, Judy (John) Carlson, Kennewick, WA, Ted (Mary) LeMay, Glen Ullin, Donald (Sherry) LeMay, Almont, Riley (Cindy) LeMay, Bismarck; sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister, Vinida (Charles) Ramsey, Johnston City, IL; and brother, Donald McClellan, AL.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Theodore Godbert; husband’s Riley LeMay and Chester Kramer; brother, Oscar McClellan and sister Irene Dodig.
