Lucille Amanda Starck, 88, Center, died April 6, 2013 at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Center, with Pastor Dennis Ristvedt officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul's Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 pm on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem, and continue from 4 to 7 pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Center. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Lucille was born June 4, 1924 on the family farm east of Center to Theodore and Ida (Starck) Starck. There she was raised and enjoyed being with her family. As her parents aged, she continued taking care of them until their passing. Continuing her caring ways, Lucille cared for her brother, Willard, after his stroke.
She was active at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Center and was the secretary for the Ladies Aid. Lucille was also a member of the Merry Mixers Homemakers Club where she enjoyed sharing her flowers, needlework, and music. Lucille loved to sing and enjoyed playing the accordion.
Lucille is survived by one sister-in-law, Elayne Starck, Center; two nieces, Emiline Dickhaut, Washburn and Jennifer Olander, Stanton; two nephews, Verlyn (Roxane) Starck, Center and Grealing (Deborah) Starck, Center; two great-nieces; eight great-nephews; eight great-great nieces; eight great-great nephews; and one great-great-great nephew.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and her brother.
