Louise Olson, 90, Bismarck, died June 10, 2016 at the Baptist Home, Bismarck.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Baptist Health Care Center Chapel, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Sims Cemetery, rural Morton County.
Louise was born at her family home on June 21, 1925 in New Salem to Carl William and Christine (Kramer) Keisel. She attended country school through the eighth grade. On April 18, 1945 she married Reynold Olson and they made their home on a farmstead in rural Almont. Her home was always open to whoever needed someplace to go. A loving and dedicated wife, Louise cared for her husband for many years. Following her retirement she moved to Mandan. Louise volunteered at AID Inc. for more than 20 years until her health declined. She was proud to receive the Presidential Volunteer Award.
Blessed to have shared her life is her son, David (DiAnne) Olson; son-in-law, Paul D. Myers; sister, Edna Keisel; grandchildren, Monte (Betty) Myers, Stacy (Alan) Miller, Mathew (Renee) Olson, Bethany Olson, Daniel (Lynn) Olson, Joseph Olson and Paul Olson; and great grandchildren, Jordan (Jessie) Miller, Ashlie (Riley) Knoll, Casey Mischel, Toran Olson, and Kyla Olson.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Diana Myers; son, Daniel Olson; and brother, John Keisel.
Memorials are preferred to the Baptist Health Care Center.
