Lorraine was born January 3, 1930 in Richardton, ND to John and Christina (Schneider) Hauck. A young man named Lee lived across the street from her family. He would send her letters with a stick of Juicy Fruit gum and would give her a full pack whenever he'd see her. After accumulating over a case of gum under her bed, Lee had won her over! They were married on October 21, 1947 in Richardton. They made their home on a farm in New Salem where they raised their family. Lorraine was an excellent cook and baker and her eleven children and their families were her pride and joy. She loved birds and also enjoyed crocheting, word searches, and playing cards. A beloved mother and grandmother to four generations, Lorraine will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Blessed to have shared her life are her eleven children, Gary (Brenda) Doll, New Salem, Sharon (Wayne) Heid, New Salem, Terrance (Sherry) Doll, New Salem, Karen (Jim) Reinhardt, Cornville, AZ, Luwanna (Rod) Eckroth, Bismarck, Allan (Cheryl) Doll, New Salem, Dwight (Linda) Doll, West Fargo, Leann Klemetson, Baldwin, John (Jeanette) Doll, Wakefield, KS, Kristi (Dan) Covault, Norwood, CO, and Melissa (Eddie) Van Pelt, Abilene, TX; 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and one sister, Cecelia Fredrick, Richardton.
