Leslie Ann Soules, of Bismarck, ND, passed away on January 12, 2025, resting in the blessed hope of the resurrection.

A celebration of Leslie’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 21, at 1:30 PM at the First Lutheran Church in Mandan with Pastor Kris de Bruin officiating. Following the service, there will be light refreshments and time for fellowship in the church hall.

Leslie was born on June 13, 1969, in Dickinson, ND. She lived a life of service, compassion, and love that touched countless lives within her church, family, and community.

Leslie spent her early years in Leonard, ND, before moving to New Salem, where she attended elementary, middle, and high school. She later graduated from Minot State University with degrees in History and Criminal Justice. After college, she worked as a nanny on the East Coast, where she enjoyed being closer to her beloved New York Yankees. Upon returning to North Dakota, Leslie worked at the Mandan Refinery before pursuing her passion as a baker and founding her successful cookie business, Cookies by Leslie, which brought joy to so many.

A beloved figure in the Bismarck area, Leslie was the head of the Bismarck Farmers Market, where her kindness, leadership, and dedication enriched the lives of many. Her cookies became more than a treat—they were a symbol of her love and care for others, spreading joy to everyone she encountered.

Within the Mandan Seventh-day Adventist Church, Leslie was a cornerstone leader. Her deep faith, commitment to Christ, and love for her church family were evident in every role she filled. Whether offering wisdom, encouragement, or a listening ear, she strengthened and inspired her church community.

Leslie’s life was a testament to selfless love, unwavering faith, and devotion to her community and loved ones. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy of service and compassion will continue to inspire.

Leslie is survived by her parents, Greg and Linda Soules (Bismarck, ND), and her brother and sister-in-law, David and Deborah Soules (Tillamook, OR). She is also lovingly remembered by her aunts, uncles, cousins, church family, and countless friends whose lives she enriched.

Leslie loved her family, her faith, and cheering for her beloved Yankees. Fond memories include childhood role-playing as “Ducky Bent,” a creative twist on her favorite player, Bucky Dent, and spirited discussions about team strategies. She was a rock for her loved ones, always available with advice, support, and laughter. Leslie made everyone around her feel wanted and valued—a gift that will be deeply missed.

Thank you for your love, prayers, and support during this time. Leslie truly blessed our lives and leaves a legacy of love, service, and sweet memories that we will carry forward.
