Leonard Olson, 78, Almont, died November 9, 2015 at Sanford Health, Bismarck.
A committal service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. Per Leonard’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Leonard Melvin Olson was born March 11, 1937 to Melvin and Marie (Wedde) Olson. He graduated from Almont High School in 1955. Leonard served in the United States Army for three years, based in Texas. He worked as a real estate broker for many years in California and also as a barber. In 1963 he married Janice Ritz in Almont and they made their home in California until 1981 when they moved back to Almont.
Blessed to have shared his life is his wife of 52 years, Janice, Almont; son and daughter-in-law, Scott (Jenna), Conroe, TX; two grandsons, Aaron and Ethan; sister, Ione Wilson, GA; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvin, Alden, Delbert, and twins Archie and Arlone.
