Laura Dailey

Laura Dailey, 44, a lifelong Mandan resident, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 24, 2024.

A private family graveside service will be held at Mandan Union Cemetery. 

Laura was born February 6, 1980, in Bismarck, to David and Linda Kay (Nelson) Dailey. She was baptized at First Lutheran Church and later confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Raised and educated in Mandan, Laura graduated from Mandan High School in 1999, and went on to attend Bismarck State College, earning an Associate degree in medical coding.

Over the years, Laura worked at Kmart, CVS, Walmart, Burger King, & Cracker Barrel.

Laura enjoyed playing internet games, watching action and scary movies, especially Halloween and Dracula movies as well as classics starring John Wayne, Ricky Nelson, or Dean Martin. She loved reading science fiction and listening to rock and heavy metal rock music. Laura enjoyed cooking and baking cakes, a hobby she learned from her Dad who learned to bake at George’s Bakery in Mandan. Laura adored her two cats, Robbie and Riley. Laura was friendly, kind, and very talkative.

Blessed to have shared in her life is her mother, Linda Dailey, Mandan; aunts and uncles, Gloria Dailey-Nelson (Delton Nelson), Robin Dailey-Nelson (Marvin Nelson), Don (Lori) Dailey, Dale Dailey, and Clayton Jr. (Wendy) Nelson; and several cousins.

Laura was preceded in death by her father, David, in 2013; and her grandparents, Eugene and Donna Dailey and Clayton Sr. and Grace Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
