Kenneth J. “Kenny” Mosbrucker, 76, Mandan, died January 23, 2011 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with Reverend Patrick Schumacher celebrating. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery with military honors provided by the Mandan VFW Post 707 and American Legion Post 40.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 25 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Kenny was born July 4, 1934 in Oliver County to Martin and Eva (Barnhardt) Mosbrucker. He attended school through the eighth grade. In 1954 Kenny enlisted in the US Army, receiving the Good Conduct and Marksman Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1956. On June 4, 1958 Kenny married Rosalee Erhardt in New Salem. They moved to Mandan where he worked as a carpenter. He also owned rental properties. In 2000 he sold the properties and retired, finding great pleasure in going south for the winters. Kenny was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Eagles, Moose, and Knights of Columbus. Husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Blessed to have shared his life is his wife of 52 years, Rosalee, Mandan; daughter, Lorie (John) Makelke, Dallas, TX; three sons, Dean (Nimfa) and Brian, both of Mesa, AZ and Calvin (Lois), Mandan; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, LaVerne Huck, Mandan; and two brothers, Wilbert and Lyle, both of Center.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; son, David; and sister, Karen Geiger.
