Keith Dahl

Keith was born on March 18, 1947, to Grace and Iver Dahl and raised in Huff, ND. After his schooling he served with the Army National Guard and Air National Guard. On April 15, 1967, he married Vivian Haag. They moved to Great Falls, MT where he worked for the railroad and started a construction company. They returned to Center, ND in 1974 where he started construction and concrete work, eventually starting his own trucking business. He retired in 2020. His ability to fix things was a skill he passed to his boys and working with them doing construction and trucking was some of his best memories.   

His marriage to Vivian was blessed with four boys, Keith Jr., Bradley, Dustin and Jason. Those who knew Keith knew his love for collecting cars and trucks and adding to junk hill as he called it. He always had a coffee cup in his hand and coins jingling in his pocket. He was a quiet man but could visit with anyone and after a conversation he considered anyone a new friend. The invite to the farm was always open to his grandkids and he had a list of chores waiting along with a full candy drawer as payment. He always looked forward to family gatherings and visits and his presence there will be deeply missed.  

He is survived by his wife Vivian of 56 years, his four sons, Keith Jr. (Monica) Dahl of Bismarck, ND, Bradley (Sandy) Dahl of Center, ND, Dustin (Lynette) Dahl of Bismarck, ND and Jason (Jackie) Dahl of Washburn, ND; 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; 5 sisters Mabel Weisz, Delila (Duane) Bauer, Louayne (Peter) Kassian, Karen Scherr and Judy Dahl.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Iver and Grace Dahl, his brother Leroy Dahl, his two sisters Jean Fitzgerald and Lynette Hatzenbihler.
