Julie Ann Hatzenbihler, age 68, Center, passed away on August 26, 2017 at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen, surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Center with Fr. John Guthrie celebrating.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 30 from 5 to 8 pm at St. Martin’s Catholic Church with a Rosary and Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Thursday.
Julie was born April 3, 1949 in Mandan to Peter and Betty (Hoffman) Hatzenbihler. She graduated from Center High School in 1967 and attended Dickinson State College. Julie worked in Bismarck at PRS and 4L’s. In 1988 she moved to Center where she worked for JDJ Custom Insulation as a sewing machine operator until her illness. Julie was well known for her cooking skills, especially German potato salad. She enjoyed making welding hats, attending craft fairs, traveling, and monthly card club and Bunco.
Julie was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Center her entire life and was president of the Altar Society for many years.
Julie is survived by her siblings, Rod (Mary) Hatzenbihler, Nancy (Dwight) Henke, Bonnie (Daniel) Schwab, Randy Hatzenbihler, Peggy (Bob) Gobar, Annette Hatzenbihler, and Brent Hatzenbihler; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was “Grandma Julie” to a select few of her nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Sandy.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to the Oliver County Ambulance or Hazen Hospice.
