JoAnn Price

JoAnn Price, 89, of Price, ND passed away March 15, 2025, at Edgewood Vista in Mandan.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at First Lutheran Church of Mandan with Pastor Phil Leer officiating. A luncheon will follow the service and burial will be at 1 PM at Hillview Cemetery in Price, ND. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

JoAnn was born December 23, 1935, in Bismarck, ND to Clemons and Chrystal (Hendry) Janssen. She had five siblings whom she always looked forward to spending time with. JoAnn finished high school at a young age (16) and went on to get her teaching certificate. She started her teaching career at the age of seventeen at Price, ND. She went on to finish her education and received a degree by going back to school in the summers. JoAnn taught school in Mandan, Beulah, Hazen, and ended her teaching career in Center, ND.

She married Donald Price in December 1956. Don and JoAnn had three sons: a baby boy born in 1959, Steven in 1961, and Owen in 1965.

JoAnn enjoyed tending to her flower beds, gardening, and keeping up a large yard overlooking the Missouri River. She was always available to help with the grandkids when needed.

She is survived by her sons, Steve (Linda) of Stanton, ND & Owen (Kim) of Hensler, ND; grandchildren, Alisha, Cole, Dakota, Evan, Tonya, Calla, and Scotty; great grandchildren, Lydia, Mesa, Sophie, Kylie, Melanie, KinLee, Aiden, Laynie, and Raelynn; three brothers, Kent, Donovan, and Kevin; and two sisters, DiAnn and Cheryl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald, in 2022; and an infant son.
