Jeanette Brown, 69, of Center, died unexpectedly on January 19, 2011 at Medcenter One Hospital, Bismarck.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 24, 2011 at St. Martin Catholic Church, Center, with Rev. Charles Heidt celebrating. Burial will be at Sanger Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Sunday, January 23 at the church, with a Parish Rosary / Vigil at 7 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Jeanette was born July 14, 1941 in Oliver County to John Sr. and Eleanor (Scheetz) Hoffman. On November 7, 1959 she married Myron Brown in Center. Jeanette had an amazing spirit and was a hoot to be around. A talented homemaker, she was a fantastic cook and caretaker. She enjoyed the outdoors and family camping trips, always out-fishing everyone. A handywoman, she was great at fixing and building things. Gardening, knitting, quilting, sewing, and crafts were hobbies she always enjoyed doing. Jeanette enjoyed her goats and loved every minute she spent with her family, especially when hosting a holiday. Giving of her time and talents, Jeanette was a member of the God’s Child Project, Red Hatters, St. Martin’s Altar Society, and Sanger Cemetery Association. Treasured and loved, Jeanette, known as Mutter Bear and Grammie Bear, will be forever missed by those who loved her dearly.
Left with memories of a life well lived is her husband of 51 years, Myron Brown, Center; two daughters, Dawn (Joel) Tokach, Concord, CA and Debby (Mark) Bolte, Mandan; one son, Dale Brown, Bismarck; 6 grandchildren, Sommer (Kevin) Jacob, Tiffany (David) Ormonde, John Tokach (Christina Bustillos), Jeff Tokach, Dillion (Kasey) Brown, and Kasey Jo Brown; 3 great grandchildren, Kennedy and Alison Jacob and Dominick Ormonde; 3 sisters, Fran Kary, Bismarck, Viola (Mike) Himmelspach, Jamestown, and Beverly Moon, Rossville, GA; brother-in-law, MJ Hatzenbihler, Mandan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Jodi Brown; 2 sisters, Betty Hatzenbihler and Cecilia Hatzenbihler; and 3 brothers-in-law, George Kary, Pete Hatzenbihler, and Roger Moon.
