M. (Magdalen) Jean Kraft, 90, Mandan, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2017 at St. Gabriel's Community, Bismarck.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with Fr. Shane Campbell celebrating. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Parish Vigil at 7 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Jean was born November 26, 1926, to Michael and Barbara (Schaff) Kraft. She was born, raised, educated, and a lifelong resident of Mandan. Jean worked at A.W. Lucas Company as the Credit Manager for 22 years, continuing in the customer service area as a clerk for Missouri Valley Petroleum at Sunset Tesoro for 25 years.
Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Billie and Daryl Yantzer; granddaughter, Nichole Johnson (Sean Schlosser); grandson, Aaron Yantzer (Sara Messmer); three great grandchildren, Ty and Mya Johnson and RyLee Yantzer; one sister, Florence Stumpf, Grand Forks; one brother-in-law, Ken Bride, Bismarck; two special nieces, Carol and Donna; and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Alan Campbell, Fran and Harry Sauter, Katherine and Nick Stumpf, Peter Stumpf, Lucille Duell, and Marilyn Bride.
We are very grateful to the staff at St. Gabriel's Community for the wonderful care that was given and special thanks to Ashley, her favorite nurse.
