It is with a heavy heart that the family of Glenn A. Stastny Sr. of Mandan, ND announce his promotion to Heaven on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 92 years of age.
Visitation will be held from 5PM to 8PM Monday, April 24th at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10AM Tuesday, April 25th at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mandan. Burial will follow in Mandan Union Cemetery.
Glenn was born on March 19, 1931 in Mandan, ND on the farm where he was a lifelong resident and dairy farmer. He enjoyed working on the farm doing duties such as swathing and planting even after retirement. He also enjoyed driving trips mostly to see family. As well as a trip to Hawaii and a cruise to Alaska. He loved old-time music and going to baseball games. He also loved a good 15 minute afternoon nap, a bowl of maple nut ice cream, and a game of Schmier or Whist.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mavis F. (Bailey) Stastny; 4 sons, Glenn Stastny Jr. (Rodine), David Stastny (Sheri), Bryan Stastny (Leslie) and Keith Stastny (Amber); grandchildren, Justin Stastny, Joshua Stastny, Nicole Parker, Bryson Stastny, Kendall Stastny, Abbigail Stastny, and Kole Stastny; great grandchildren, Brielle, Griffin, Ozzie Stastny, Kyler Stastny, Eleanor, Avery, Cordelia, and Isla Parker; sisters-in-law, Linda Stastny, Lucille Stastny, & Lois Seeley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton C & Rose M (Kilian) Stastny; & brothers, Leon, Harold, & Harry; grandson, Grayson; and one great grandchild.
