Floyd Frankl, 95, Mandan, died October 29, 2011 at the Medcenter One Living Center, Mandan.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with Reverend Richard Hagestuen officiating. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
Floyd was born August 29, 1916 in Mandan to Joe and Agnes (Torzak) Frankl. On March 19, 1937 he married Alice Simons in Mandan. Floyd worked as a sales supervisor for PV Mills for many years, retiring in 1978. In his spare time, Floyd enjoyed gardening and hunting prairie dogs and pheasants.
Left with fond memories is one son, Lyle (Lois) Frankl, Dickinson; three grandchildren, Dawn (Mike) Stroh, Killdeer, Shannon (Bruce) Steier, Dickinson, Megan Frankl, Melbourn, FL; four great grandchildren, Lucas and Matthew Stroh, Killdeer and Madison and Jace Steier, Dickinson; two sisters, Mary J. (Ben) Fruge, Ft. Worth, TX and Kathleen Kearns, Worcester, MA; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Briese, Bismarck.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice, on May 19, 1997; daughter, Judy; and sister, Grace.
