Eugene Weber

Eugene “Gene” Weber, 77, Center, passed away December 20, 2023, at Sunset Drive Prospera Community, Mandan.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Center.  A Prayer Service will be held at 3 PM with Rev. Dennis Ristvedt presiding.  Cremation will take place following the visitation and graveside services will be held in the spring.

Gene was born January 26, 1946, to William and Selma (Sattern) Weber in Williston, ND. He grew up in Alamo, ND, where he graduated high school. Immediately after high school, Gene went to work at BNI Coal where he worked until his retirement. On July 4, 1971, he married Charlene Roness in Belfield, ND. The two made their home in Center, ND, where they shared over 50 years.

Gene loved fishing and building model airplanes. His Dad was a pilot which fostered his passion for airplanes and Gene wanted more than anything to enlist in the US Air Force and fly jets. He was sadly denied due to an ear condition. Gene and Charlene enjoyed camping together and he loved spending time in his garage tinkering with motors.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Charlene Weber, Center; his sister, Tanya Roe, WA; and his nephews, Garrett Roe, WA, Paul (Chelsea) Weber, MT, and Doug (Beth) Weber, MT.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerome (Elsie) Weber.
