Elizabeth “Betty” J. Livdahl, 90, Bismarck, formerly of Mandan, died July 9, 2016 at a Bismarck Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with Reverend Christina Martin officiating. Burial will be at Mandan Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, and continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Betty was born April 11, 1926 on the family farm northeast of Hankinson, the daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth (Hoeft) Berndt. She was raised and educated in the Great Bend area of ND, near Wahpeton. Betty attended Valley City Teachers College and taught school for a brief time. On February 6, 1947 she married Percy Livdahl in Crookston, MN. They made their home in Mandan where they were longtime residents.
Blessed to have shared her life are two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary (Don) Hoffman, Bismarck and Sandie (Bruce) Ganje, Spearfish, SD; four grandchildren, Paula Brenden (Corey), Fargo, Michael Hoffman, Bismarck, Kimberly Kuller (Todd Scott), Velva, and Kirk (Melanie) Kuller, Scottsdale, AZ; two great grandchildren, Lauren Marie and Jack Donald, Fargo; and one sister-in-law, Lois Berndt, Wahpeton.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Percy; son, Earl; her parents; a brother, Allen; and a sister, Marlys.
