Dolores Toepke

Dolores Toepke, 88, Mandan, died January 10, 2021 at Richardton Health Care Center.

Due to Covid a private funeral service will be held with burial at Mandan Union Cemetery.  A recording of the service will be available on Dolores obituary page on the Buehler-Larson Funeral Home website on February 15, 2021.

Dolores was born August 8, 1932 in Almont, the third of six daughters to Valentine and Barbara (Wetzstein) Kary.  Raised and educated in Almont, she graduated in 1949.  On August 11, 1952 she married Wallace Toepke.  They made their home in Mandan where they raised their three sons.  Dolores enjoyed raising a huge garden and canning the produce.  She was a wonderful cook and baker, making homemade breads and cookies.  Dolores enjoyed taking walks and cherished time with her family and friends.

Blessed to have shared in her life are her three sons, Patrick, Jay, and Kirk Toepke; 5 grandchildren, Travis J., Greta, Travis C., Justin, and Courtney; and 9 great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Meranda, Andrew, Riley, Ilia, Alex, Ryan, Aaron, and Tabitha.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace, in 2012; two sisters, Elvina and Irene; and two great grandsons, Alexander Blake and Patrick August.
