Dolores Rowe

April 16, 1935 — March 30, 2024

Dolores Rowe, affectionately known as “Bear” by her late husband Buster, passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 88. She was a wonderful mother and loved by all who knew her. Whenever you needed her, she would always be there. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unconditional love, and generosity. Everyone who knew our mom loved her. She had a wonderful sense of humor which she maintained despite her illness. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, ND. Burial will take place at Mandan Union Cemetery following the service.

She was the best grandma ever! There was never an event she wouldn’t be at to support her grandkids.

She lost her husband, Buster, when he was 56 years old. After spending many years by herself and never complaining, she met up with an old friend, Leonard Krause. He became her companion and they enjoyed several years together until his passing. It brought us so much joy to see her have some “pep in her step” again.

It was always an adventure when you went to visit mom at Miller Point. She was seldom in her room as she loved to navigate the hallways in her wheelchair. She could often be found roaming the 600 unit or sitting by her favorite friend, Don. The staff at Miller Point just loved her and we are thankful for the wonderful care they gave her.

We were so blessed to have her for all these years. Though she may be gone, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.  We love you now, forever, and always. Until we meet again, rest in peace.

She is survived by her children, Barb (Kerby) Hertz, Bill (Laurie) Rowe, Nancy (Joe) Weber, Toni (Roger) Engelbart, and Jane (Brad) Faiman; grandchildren, Holly (Mike) Owens, Candice Turner, Ryan (Erin) Hertz, Billy (Erika) Rowe, Catie Rowe (Jordan Hauck), Travis (Jen) Norby, Lacey (Brandon) Sanders, Jodi (Jason) Howell, Jimmy (Corrine) Schulz, Jeff (Krissie) Schulz, Bradley (Nikki) Faiman, Carley (Jordan) Metzger; 25 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Bunny (Gary) Greig; and a special niece, Dawn (Sarah) Stensland. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Anton and Marg Moser; brother, Ken Moser; sister, Pat (Ken) Hermanson.
