David J. Vogel, 67, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2023, at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck, ND.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Spirit of Life Catholic Church in Mandan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Dave was born on September 30, 1955, to John and Josephine (Schmidt) Vogel in Bismarck, ND. He attended school in Mandan, ND and helped on the family farm in Solen, ND.
Dave married Bonnie Doll in July of 1990. They raised a blended family of six children. Dave and Bonnie loved horseback riding, going for country drives, and on Sundays listening to polkas. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and spending the summertime on Lake Isabel boating.
Dave was blessed to have shared his life with his wife and best friend Bonnie; children, Ray (Susan) Vogel, Amanda (Jamie) Haff, Jessica (Travis) Martin, Angela Vogel, Sara (Corey) Scherr, and Melissa Vogel; 18 grandchildren with another arriving in March, Stephanie, Vanessa, Shawn, Britney, Kyra, Kendra, Mariah, Tanner, Adriana, Jaxson, Ciara, Zoey, Constantine, Mathias, and Wyatt; two great-grandchildren, Kasen and Josephine; siblings, Marvin (Edna) Vogel, Doug (Ann) Vogel, and Kathy (Terry) Jenkins; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Linda (Kasper) Erhardt, Jacob F (Sherry) Doll, Kathy Bauer, Darlene LeBlanc, and Teresa (Kevin) Schreck; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Dave proceeded in death by his loved ones: wife and best friend, Bonnie; parents, John and Josephine; in-laws, Jacob and Clementine Doll; sister, Linda Vogel; brothers-in-law, Bill Leblanc and Dan Bauer; and sister-in-law, Karen Doll.
