Cody was born December 12, 1991 to proud parents Dean and Rhonda (Andrews) Breuer in Devils Lake, ND. Cody was the protective older brother to Whitney and Carson Breuer. After the family moved to Mandan, Cody attended Fort Lincoln Elementary School, Mandan Jr. High, and graduated from Mandan High School in 2010. Cody recently graduated from Bismarck State College with a degree in Power Plant Technology and was employed at the Heskett Station near Mandan.
From an early age, Cody had a love of John Deere tractors, the Dallas Cowboys, farming, hunting, snowmobiling, rodeo, and the western way of life. Bull riding was his passion from Junior High on where he was able to compete in several associations through and beyond his high school years. He was a friend to all in and out of the arena and will always be known for his kind and gentle personality, mischievous grin, and heartwarming smile.
Cody was his dad’s right-hand man as the family built their place southwest of Mandan. He spent countless hours at his Dad’s side building fence, caring for the young trees, and hand-feeding the cows as much cake as they liked. He could be found reading The Finder, Tractor House, or scanning BisMan Online looking for land, cattle, and machinery on any given day.
He enjoyed spending several harvests farming and ranching with his Grandpa Bob and Uncle Wes as well as delivering mineral to his Grandpa Ed and Uncle Eddy where his presence was always a joy. The oldest of 16 grandkids on Rhonda’s side of the family and second oldest of 8 grandkids on Dean’s side of the family, Cody was admired by his young cousins and spent many hours giving four-wheeler rides, playing the part of the bucking bull, setting up farm sets, playing Barbies, football, and even teaching the older ones to play poker.
Cody will be greatly missed by many. Blessed to have shared his life are his parents, Dean & Rhonda Breuer; siblings, Whitney Breuer (special friend, Shawn Fulwider) & Carson Breuer; grandparents, Ed & Dalas Breuer and Rita Andrews; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Cody was greeted in heaven by his Grandpa Bob Andrews who passed away in February 2013 and their special dog, Lucy.
Memorial donations can be sent to the family for future memorial events, a fund is not yet established.
