Allen James Peightal was born March 4, 1959, and made his transition to the eternal world on March 25, 2024. Services will be held April 4, 2024 at 10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1500 Country West Road, Bismarck, ND. Interment will be at the Mandan Union Cemetery.
Allen was born in Bismarck, ND, and grew up in Mandan, ND. Allen loved baseball growing up. He enjoyed playing the trombone and participating in the marching band. After graduating from Mandan High School, he attended National College of Business in Rapid City, South Dakota. He later completed a computer science degree at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. Allen was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings Football fan. He really didn’t care who else was playing. Allen also enjoyed collecting coins and building jigsaw puzzles.
Allen worked at a variety of positions from being a meat cutter to computer support for Montana Dakota Utilities (MDU) to night auditor for several hotel companies. Allen loved to tease people. His positive attitude and sense of humor carried him through lots of challenges especially in recent years. He enjoyed teasing other residents in the nursing home. He would pretend to take their cookies or steal their ice cream.
Allen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He enjoyed serving in a variety of positions. Allen spent quite a bit of time traveling to various churches to audit their books. He also loved spending time with young missionaries. He knew that Jesus Christ was his Savior and Redeemer.
Allen is survived by his sister, Diane (Russ) Moench of Rochester, MN/Venice, FL; brothers, Gary (Kelly) Peightal of Cole Harbor, ND, and Mark (Kathy) Peightal of Omaha, NE; nieces, Stephanie Moench of Portland, OR, Sarah Moench of Portland, OR, Devon Foster of Des Moines, IA, and Kara Peightal of Lincoln, NE; nephews, Casey Peightal of Bismarck, ND, and Brandon Peightal of Omaha, NE.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joy Peightal.
