Agnes Bristol, 97, Bismarck, died December 20, 2014 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 26, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church, Mandan, with Reverend Deanna Reikow officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at Mandan Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Friday at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan. No visitation will be held at the church.

Agnes was born May 8, 1917 on a farm near Hazelton, ND to George and Eva (Phillips) Johnson. She grew up on her family farm near Fort Rice and attended country school in rural Morton County. Agnes went to beauty school in Council Bluffs, IA and worked as a beauty operator for a short time. Agnes married Kenneth Jones and they had one daughter, Marcene. She married Urban Krug and to that union Alice, Virginia, Karen, and Kathy were born. She later married George Bristol. Agnes was a hard working farm wife and mother. She managed the Elite Motel in Mandan and also took care of the elderly in their homes. Agnes lived at the Terrace in Bismarck for 8 years and then moved to the Good Samaritan Society where she spent her last 4 years. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Terrace and Good Samaritan for the loving care provided to their Mom.

Blessed to have shared her life are her daughters, Marcene Jones, Bismarck, Alice (Steve) Genz, Porter, TX, Virginia Miller, Mandan, and Kathy (John) Trowbridge, Winnipeg, Manitoba; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two nieces, Darlene Wetsch and Donna Kraft.

Agnes was preceded in death by her three husbands; her parents; one daughter, Karen Tschida; two sisters, Vera Easton and Helen Seelye; one grandson, Milo Jr.; one granddaughter, April; and a son-in-law, Dan Tschida.
