Stanley Paul Jochim, 79, passed away June 11, 2022, at his home in New Salem, ND.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at St. Pius Catholic Church, New Salem, with Fr. Stephen Folorunso celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Pius Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Stanley was born on October 28, 1942, to Joseph and Eva (Schwartzenberger) Jochim in Mandan, ND. Stanley worked various jobs from the Homestake Mine, filling stations, to driving long haul semi-trucks. Stanley married Anna Jane (Lee) on October 15, 1966, in Belle Fourche, SD. They had three boys in South Dakota then moved to Mandan, ND where they finished their family of seven with two girls. In 1982, he moved to New Salem to finish raising his family and finally retired.
Stanley was a hard-working man with a great work ethic. He loved camping and spending time with his family. He taught his kids to work hard to get what they want. He will be missed by all his trucking buddies and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Jane, New Salem, ND; two sons, Joey (Carrie) Jochim, Washburn, ND, and Sammy (Jodi) Jochim, Gillette, WY; two daughters, Theresa (Brian) Renz and Sarah (Anthony) Clarke, both of Gillette, WY; brother, Oscar (Geraldine) Jochim, Mandan, ND; three grandsons, Dawson Renz and Michael Renz, Gillette, WY, and Austin Jochim, Mobile, AL; one granddaughter, Rachel Jochim, Gillette, WY; and one great-granddaughter, Paris Jochim, Gillette, WY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eva; brothers, Casimir, Pete, Valentine, and Joseph Jochim; one sister, Hattie Wetch; one son, Ricky Jochim; and one grandson, Jesse Jochim.
