Jacqueline "Jackie" Henke

Jaqueline "Jackie" Sharon Henke, 80, got her wings on July 9, 2022.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 18,2022, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Hannover, ND. Burial will follow at Hannover Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed at the bottom of this page.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 PM at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the service.

Mom was born to Signey Ellen Harvala Dahlquist Longfors and Allan Reingvold Dahlquist on February 3, 1942, in Chicago, IL; afterward moving back to Minnesota. Tragedy struck in 1948 when mom’s dad and uncle drowned in the Detroit Lakes. Later on, she gained a new dad, Arvid Longfors. Jackie went on to graduate from Detroit Lakes High School and then went to the Industrial Schoo. She worked at Honey Well in Minneapolis and had her daughter, Denise Kelly Dahlquist, in 1962. She met the love of her life, Martin Louis Henke Sr, and in 1971, she became Mrs. Martin L. Henke Sr. She then moved from Minneapolis to a farm in Hannover, ND, and from this the union was born, Martin Louis Henke Jr, Stephanie Elizabeth Ellen Unger, and Mark Allan Henke.

Jackie is survived by her sister-in-law, Sandy Dahlquist; her children, Denise Kelly Hinkel, Alexander Hinkel, and Andrew Hinkel; great-granddaughter, Aniyah Neveah Hinkel;  Martin Jr and Tania Henke, Ethan, Nicholas and Eric Henke; Stephanie and Michael Unger Sr. Michael Unger Jr., daughter Hadley Unger, Zackary Unger, and daughter, Arouriella Unger; granddaughter, Icy Unger; Mark Allan Henke and friend Domie; Rich Iverson; Sandy Dahlquist; Jessie, Lisa, Carry and Beth Dahlquist; Aune, Melvin, Gary, Donna, and Cecelia.

Those who went to be with Jesus are Jackie's husband, Martin Sr.; dad, Allan Dahlquist; mom, Ellen Longfors; step-dad, Arvid Longfors; Charley, James, George Jr. Iverson; sister, Virgina Doris; George Iverson Sr.; brothers, Stanley R. Dahlquist, Scott Dahlquist (Carolyn), Roger Dahlquist (Debbie); DeAnna Dahlquist; grandson, Jeffey James Hinkel; step-brother, Richard Longfors; and step-sister, Lillian Meeks.
