Ingram Opp, 89, New Salem, died July 14, 2021, at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, New Salem, with Rev. Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery at 2 pm.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Ingram was born May 31, 1932, in Glen Ullin to Jacob and Katie (Dollinger) Opp. He served for 17 months in Frankfurt, Germany in the 876th Field Artillery Battalion. Following his discharge, he worked for Loehrke Bros. and Northern Improvement.
On December 19, 1959, Ingram married LaVonne Giese and they were blessed with three children. Ingram worked for the City of New Salem from 1965 until his retirement. On November 13, 2004 he married Laura Bauer.
Ingram is survived by his wife, Laura; sons, Leon and Lynn; daughter, Lenora; one granddaughter, Laura; stepson, Keith Bauer; stepdaughter, Renee (Erik) Olson; step grandchildren, Casey and Kiera Olson; sister, Irene Sayler; and sister-in-law, Caroline Opp.
Ingram was preceded in death by his parents; brothers & sisters-in-law, Clinton and Eleanor, Jacob and Freida, and Leonard; and brother-in-law, Harold Sayler.
