Beverly Hogan, 93, rural Mandan, passed away July 14, 2021, at the farm she called home for the past 75 years.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with Rev. Phil Leer officiating. Burial will be at Stone Lutheran Cemetery, southwest of Mandan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, July 19, 2021, at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, with a prayer service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Beverly was born November 2, 1927, on the family homestead to Carl G. and Anna (Smeder) Rask. She graduated from Mandan High School and taught at rural schools for several years. On May 15, 1946, Beverly married Roy C. Hogan. They farmed and ranched until their retirement and continued to live on the Hogan farm until each of their passing. Beverly had many hobbies, including knitting, crocheting, restoring furniture, painting on old saws, making family scrapbooks, and collecting miniature lamps.
Blessed to have shared in her life are her three children, Rod (Bonnie) Hogan and Steve (Mary) Hogan, all of Mandan and Marcia (Dave) Otte, Detroit Lakes, MN; 10 grandchildren, Dan (Holly) Fix, Kimberly (Troy) Christian, Stephanie (Travis) Entzel, Katie (John) Bahm, Kyle (Jessica) Hogan, Alexis (Andy) Conlon, Emily Hogan, Jennifer (Scott) Unger, Shane Engel, and Alex Owens; 24 great grandchildren, Gregory, Asher, and Ian Fix, Grace, Lucas, Madalin, and Hazel Entzel, Anna, Owen, Clair, Sunny, and Barret Bahm, Aidan and Addison Unger, Joey, David, Eden, Elliana, Elizabeth, and Noah Christian, Abigail and Jackson Hogan, Myles Conlon, and McKenna Engel; and one sister, Genevieve Weiss, New Salem.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, in 2011; brothers, Ted (Esther), Arnold (Dorothy), and Carl W. (Lucille); sisters, Esther (Murphy) Christianson, Julia (Bill) Glardon, Gladys (Floyd) Duncan, Gerda (Emil)(Bill) Toman, Alice (Frank) Toman; brother-in-law, Art Weiss; grandsons, Patrick Hogan and Shawn Engel; and great grandchildren, Connor Bahm and Joselin Entzel.
